Yesterday was International Women's Day. Most serious male femdom bloggers have done a curtsy followed by the proper sucking up. Not Dutch, I was busy doing international stuff. Regret is best viewed through the rear view mirror, so here we go.

First of all thanks to those who spent their valuable time yesterday enlightening me about the cruel, male-dominated world we live in. Which we do. Crash test dummies are inevitably male and born at least 20 years before the 1970s. If you're a female driver involved in an accident, you're definitely out of luck. Somehow that feels odd.

We Dutch do it differently. Not only do we have to hand back our passports when we don't act frugal while traveling abroad, we also spend money foolishly on "the" arts. Extra cash if it's kinda controversial, which puts me in a bind after watching Tabook, a short animated movie.

Bondage is awesome. It's not better than sex or kissing the woman who loves you back [best ever!], but it's still awesome. Also, at times very scary. And yes, fear can be fun, but I'm struggling to explain. Let's just hope someone comes to my aid and sets me free - mentally - so I can type up the words and make you understand.

Much more interesting is what a dungeon designed by Gerrit Rietveld would look like.

As an economist I'm rather fond of Keynes' greater fool theory. It states that it doesn't matter how much a share is actually worth, all you need is someone who buys it for more than you paid for it. And of course get out when the house is on fire. Easier said than done, selling your portfolio at a profit in a global pandemic.

Dutch believes it's important to follow one's heart, even when you're not in love. That includes being honest about your likes and dislikes. My friends would say I'm crazy for being into femdom, but it's part of who I am, so I give into it. Without telling them of course.

There is limited acceptance at best of people who enjoy BDSM and that will probably never change. All the more reason to be vigilant about your privacy, especially if you write a high profile book.

Don't worry, this blog is not about politics, it's about kink. Reading the book I found myself wondering just how much information we divulge by accident.

All right, I'll spare you the horrors of discussing Fifty Shades 3.0 on Valentines Day, but we really have to talk about it. After all, how much non-consensual abuse is acceptable, even for kinksters?

No matter how much fun it is, when anime depicts masochists as pigs, both literally and figurally, there is no hope of kinksters ever being considered normal people with alternative sexual preferences.

Basically, Billions made headlines because of it's opening scene. A man is lying on the floor, bound, helpless and nowhere to go. Heels are clicking. A bit of silly conversation is next. Then mistress puts out her cigarette on his chest. The caring woman that she is, she fights the fire that is consuming his flesh by peeing on her slave. She is also his wife, definitely points for that.

BDSM on TV is Not Going Mainstream

The many looking down on the preferences of the few. Because it sells.

Don't believe the hype, it's a sequel. There is no kink genesis on TV, nor does prolonged exposure to on-screen BDSM lead to more acceptance in general. We're entertainment, that's all folks!

There is one universal fetish all kinksters share: mainstream acceptance. That ain't ever gonna happen, just live and let live would be a pretty decent deal. And no, those proclaiming there's no deeper bond than the one between mistress and her slave are not helping "da cauz". Fifty Shades to the rescue perhaps? Woohaa, that is just as likely as 20 dommes for every slave.

1. OWK - Other World Korrupted?
The notorious, beloved femdom compound finally seems to be living up to it's name. As a preview, a 45 minute clip by Goddess Amazon, detailing her encounters with the new - male - owner of the OWK. To be fair, what caught my attention was the name Womania and too much pink in the new logo.

Sex sells, everybody in advertising knows, but for most people sex doesn't necessarily equal femdom. Remember that 2011 dominatrix/vodka video? Kink is not a choice, it is part of who you are. It's also one of many reasons why Fifty Shades is no more than just another silly novel. Unfortunately, we, the choosen ones, pay a price for our alternative sexual orientation. That price comes in many ways. Just think about the vast hoards of dommes roaming the hills and valleys of Fetlife for that one unicorn, they praise as the perfect slave. Meanwhile on the other side of them hills where the grass is inevitably greener, those very same slaves disown themselves in search of that one, last available siren, the woman they - one day - are privileged to call mistress.
