The other day German femdom blogger Lady Sas polled whether she should continue to post  both in German and English. The answer is no, which makes an aweful lot of sense given Germany's bold, proud history when it comes to femdom. Remember reading that Lady Daria of the Warsaw Prison also studied German. Why am I not surprised? So did Dutch. Bit rusty these days but I'll manage.

A certain Dutch DJ who shall remain 'secret' was promised an intimate capsule hotel, not this. Thanks Mr. Cheapskate tour manager.

So, turning off the music for close to 30 seconds in front of a huge crowd is not for everyone. Apart from talent and technical skill, there's a third element involved, people skills. Not exactly like reading the room when you have 2.000 anonymous ravers in front of you but I [think I] knew what I was doing. Nor is it a trick you can repeat at random. The result, however, is that people are high on endorphins right from the start. So in the end, I didn't get paid for one or two rare skills but how I balance my skill set. All of that would never have worked without a huge dosis of luck. To this day I'm deeply grateful to all those people who have mentored, supported and taught me or gave me a break. I've lived the good DJ life and beyond thanks to all of them. I am who I am but it's been a huge influence ever since. Probably would have happened anyway but now I'm the tutor. Not as a DJ but in many other areas in life. As it should.

A personal note on librarians. It's not just the fake librarians you have to be careful of. Real librarians are very good at changing the rules without telling you. And there is no point in complaining. Complaints are useless. "Haven't you read the note on the door?" "I assume you can read, why else would you be here." Well, there's an explanation for everything. Just read what happened to me the other day. And yes, the book was exactly 11 days overdue. Just my luck.

With Blogger now forcing readers to log in 'to verify their age' the number of visitors to my blog has dwindled dramatically. In itself not a problem, I enjoy writing. It's just that when hardly anyone reads your stuff, why continue? So, a while back, I decided to tweet-announce new posts. Nothing fancy, just title, link and image and I'm gone. Timed it. Takes 11 seconds. Why am I not surprised?

Basically I write a lot and this blog is definitely not among my best work. Reasons include English not being my native language, the topic of femdom and the unwritten rules of our community, according to some. Yes I write about kinky, sexy stuff but there's no need to be sleazy, whenever you can avoid it. No reason to be shy either. As for 'our' community, what I am often missing is adult conversation communication between two people. Blame the slave, blame the domme. It's either her unable to get of her high horse or him sucking up. And it's bad for femdom.

But then you start to wonder about the abundance of the colour green in today's image: green blouse, green grass. But wait there's more. Not exactly sure what but there certainly is a little extra. What is this woman thinking of. No clue. And why is there this dark glare in her eyes. Then she slowly raises her whip - rather unexpectedly - and things get even more fascinating. It's an instrument that's clearly very dear to her. The intention on her face intensifies adding more to the mystery. As if she ponders what to do with it. Don't think she's that green.

So DJ's make a lot of money, some at least. Someone told me these days a three hour gig goes for around 350 euros. That's before expenses, taxes and agency fees if the dj is booked through one. Many also work for free. A mistake, they hope it will get them the name recognition they so crave. Perhaps, but you cannot beat free on price and at the lowest rung you're easily replaced. No more posting cool hot dj pics to your Insta. Quelle horreur. Scary future ahead indeed. It's also why most clubs go under.

The discussion keeps coming up again and again. Why are professional DJ's so expensive? Because they can, some at least. Others don't want to work that often and quote astronomical fees. Especially for Back to the Eighties parties. Yikes! And you know what, it works. Inbox empty. Maybe you think it's absurd DJ's get paid a lot of money but it's their job is to entertain hundreds of people at once.
