- It is (more or less) generally accepted that the number of men seeking a dominant female partner is about 20 to 1. What if the number of subs outnumbered the available dommes by the same margin? Would they treat them differently? Promise them more suffering (or less), would phenomena like poly and findom be marginalized or would the whole concept of femdom become marginalized because out of character reality clashes with in-character desires

Rietveld Chair Revisited
Much more interesting is what a dungeon designed by Gerrit Rietveld would look like. |
In 2019 Michael Shnayerson published his book "Boom: Mad Money, Mega Dealers, and the Rise of Contemporary Art", a look into the world of modern art and its random sky-high valuations. It concludes that art has become big business.
As an economist I'm rather fond of Keynes' greater fool theory. It states that it doesn't matter how much a share is actually worth, all you need is someone who buys it for more than you paid for it. And of course get out when the house is on fire. Easier said than done, selling your portfolio at a profit in a global pandemic.

Highly Tributed Lifestyle Domme Part V
11 Reasons to Visit a Pro-Domme
Nobody questions her motives. |
The "highly tributed lifestyle domme" series was inspired by a single comment to Miss Pearl's article on why she never will go pro. I disagree with Miss Pearl on many issues - good thing there is no right or wrong when it comes to kink - but her overall writing stands out.

Enemy of the State: Who Reads My Blog?
Dutch is at last moving up in the world. After many thwarted attempts to gain recognition the DOD finally began scrutinizing my blog, eight visits within the space of a few days. In al fairness the United States Department of Defence probably sent bots, total time for each visit is zero seconds.

Fifty Shades of NIMBY
Remember the story of mistress Evilyne a couple of years ago and how she was forced to shut down her dungeon because the neighbours objected? The New York Times has a similar tale about Ms. Taillor and her 'kink collective'. Both stories feature neighbours scared of BDSM freaks running around the neighbourhood. Like I always say: "Fifty Shades of Acceptance? Never!
Hey, it's still the Grey Lady, image found on Ms. Taillor's website. |
Ms. Miller, a longtime Brooklyn resident doesn't like having a "kink collective" next door. It's all about "trust and safety" and "questionable people" that made her Spidey senses tingle. How's that for kink-shaming? [1]
Cartoonish instincts are not enough to get those around her to act so she quotes anonymous neighbours after which she no doubt felt the obligation to act. "When she asked around, neighbors told her that Ms. Taillor [the dominatrix] was up to no good."

Cunk on Femdom Part Five: The Internet & Femdom
Reenactment of what femdom must have looked like in the 1950. Clearly shortly after the war there was a lack of leather so you may not instantly recognize it. |
For the last time, this is not exactly the Peter Tupper version of the history of femdom. Let's say it's inspired by real events. Like me watching Netflix. Don't ask me how I did it but somehow Philomena Cunk has accepted my invitation to write a guest post. Here's Cunk on Femdom.

Praise the Internet
Save some hiccups, technological progress mostly has ups.
Oldest surviving image of mistress and slave, ca 11.000 BCE, predating the Flintstones by 1111 years (plus or minus 34 years). Not sure about her choice of toys. Troglodyte goofball looks happy though. |
More often than not I've cursed the internet when it comes to femdom. Yes, I was happy to discover there were others like me. That was before the rise of the online findommes. [1] And if that isn't bad enough, how about the regular articles in women's magazines on how to feel powerful if you're down and out? Be a domme for a day and make all your problems wash away. Not. Attention for BDSM has not only lead to Fifty Shades but also increased attention on television. Sadly, all we're good for is being portrayed as freaks - #never normal - loosers or those cast away by mother nature herself. I beg to differ but rather spend my energy on something else.

Punishment in the country side
Perhaps the couple took a wrong turn and ended up somewhere in the country, but it makes for an interesting setting. There is no one for miles around - try that in over here in Holland - so no need for gags. You know what's gonna happen but it still is fascinating to see her pull the belt out of her jeans and administer some serious punishment.

Germany's Next Top Model Owns a Slave
The eyes, the smile. Add honesty and strength of character. What is not to like. Let's ask Heidi. |
Fifty Shades is kind of acceptable to the general public. That is, if you read it on your way to work. At home you obviously read something more upbeat like "War and Peace". So much for social acceptance of femdom. It ain't ever gonna happen.

Killer hides in S&M room
Next time perhaps try the doghouse? |
It is August and it is definitely silly season in the papers. Earlier today I read one of the funniest frivolous news stories ever (link in Dutch). A man, convicted of murder in Belgium had managed to escape during his trial in 2013. He successfully evaded arrest for almost two years. Today the police was finally able to apprehend him. The murderer was hiding in a small space he created himself behind a mirror in an S&M room in a house in central Brussels.
I think Fifty Shades is to blame for his creative choice of hide out. After his arrest the man was transferred to the prison of St. Gilles. According to the police his prison cell will be larger than the space he was hiding in. He should be grateful for that because he has been sentenced to life in prison.

1. OWK - Other World Korrupted?
The notorious, beloved femdom compound finally seems to be living up to it's name. As a preview, a 45 minute clip by Goddess Amazon, detailing her encounters with the new - male - owner of the OWK. To be fair, what caught my attention was the name Womania and too much pink in the new logo.
If you have any info, useful links, personal stories about the OWK to share, please drop me a line.

The Clueless Politician and the Dominatrix
- Matthew 26:15
Guess that is how much a cabinet post goes for these days. Last night I watched a segment on Newsnight – the BBC’s current affairs program - about John Wittingdale, Britain’s Culture Secretary. He admitted he had been in a relationship with a sex worker - more specifically a dominatrix.
“He did not know about the woman's occupation when they were together” Now really? Of course “he ended the relationship as soon as he was made aware of her job.”
How could I know "that woman" [is way too cool for me?] She didn't like Fifty Shades. How could I tell? |

Stealing Her Happiness
Kink is not a choice, it is part of who you are. It's also one of many reasons why Fifty Shades is no more than just another silly novel. Unfortunately, we, the choosen ones, pay a price for our alternative sexual orientation. That price comes in many ways. Just think about the vast hoards of dommes roaming the hills and valleys of Fetlife for that one unicorn, they praise as the perfect slave. Meanwhile on the other side of them hills where the grass is inevitably greener, those very same slaves disown themselves in search of that one, last available siren, the woman they - one day - are privileged to call mistress.

Big Bang Theory goes BDSM
Too obvious., the smart guy tied up and the sexy girl plays the dominant role. |
Some two years ago I wrote about the US sitcom The Big Bang Theory about four guys know all about science and nothing about life. Then I realised something odd. All men were in a D/s relationship without knowing.
