This week the Netherlands went to the polls. The biggest winner turned out to be the far right Freedom Party, who incidentally also want to cut aid to Ukraine. That would be a huge mistake, even if you are just selfish. A free Ukraine is essential to the security in Western Europe. Not that it's the main reason to support Ukraine. Ukraine is an independent country and should be free. Sadly there is this new deadly disease called Ukraine fatique.

[1] Watched 'An Adventure in Time and Space' the other day, a dramatization about how it all began for Doctor Who. The program was specially created for the show's  50th anniversary back in 2013. Ten years later and my favourite Timelord is turning 60.

If you think of Doctor Who as an advent calendar, back in 2013, we were - suprise - at number 11 with Matt Smith portraying the Eleventh Doctor. We all know what comes before 11, but what comes after 13? Is it 10 or 14? A bit of both. Tonight the Doctor returns. [2] David Tennant once again becomes the Doctor, yes number 14 this time. It's complicated, it always is but who cares. It also shows just what a mess the Whitaker/Chibnall era has been for the BBC to do something so desperate. What I think is not fair is that originally Ncuti Gatwa was cast as the 14th Doctor but is now 15. Why not let the incoming Doctor star in the celebration of 60 years of Doctor Who. Easy to preach the gospel about how equality and inclusiveness but to act accordingly is something very different altogether. Shame on you BBC.

Anyway, some two weeks ago showrunner Russell T Davies  spoke to the Guardian. He said among other things that "scenes in upcoming episodes of Doctor Who will be ‘violent and scary’". Doctor Who returns this month with three special episodes featuring David Tennant as the 14th Doctor, to coincide with its 60th anniversary. The first episode is family friendly, Pixaresque almost. "The second one, Wild Blue Yonder, is darker. Not scary – it’s genuinely weird,”"
"The third, The Giggle, features Neil Patrick Harris as a toymaker and is “nuts, completely mad, frightening”, Davies said. “That one will scare you.”"

Guess what, I'm looking forward to it. Also also excited to see Neil Patrick Harris come on to the show. We'll talk more Doctor Who later. Just one question, am I the only one wondering how Doctor Ruth [the Fugitive Doctor] is doing?

My summer, huh? Pretty good I guess. My love and I had a lot of fun now that Covid itself is on an extended holiday. So, turning off the music for close to 30 seconds in front of a huge crowd is not for everyone. Apart from talent and technical skill, there's a third element involved, people skills. Not exactly like reading the room when you have 2.000 anonymous ravers in front of you but I [think I] knew what I was doing. Nor is it a trick you can repeat at random. The result, however, is that people are high on endorphins right from the start. So in the end, I didn't get paid for one or two rare skills but how I balance my skill set. All of that would never have worked without a huge dosis of luck. To this day I'm deeply grateful to all those people who have mentored, supported and taught me or gave me a break. I've lived the good DJ life and beyond thanks to all of them. I am who I am but it's been a huge influence ever since. Probably would have happened anyway but now I'm the tutor. Not as a DJ but in many other areas in life. As it should.

A personal note on librarians. It's not just the fake librarians you have to be careful of. Real librarians are very good at changing the rules without telling you. And there is no point in complaining. Complaints are useless. "Haven't you read the note on the door?" "I assume you can read, why else would you be here." Well, there's an explanation for everything. Just read what happened to me the other day. And yes, the book was exactly 11 days overdue. Just my luck.

Basically I write a lot and this blog is definitely not among my best work. Reasons include English not being my native language, the topic of femdom and the unwritten rules of our community, according to some. As for 'our' community, what I am often missing is adult conversation communication between two people. Blame the slave, blame the domme. So DJ's make a lot of money, some at least. Someone told me these days a three hour gig goes for around 350 euros. That's before expenses, taxes and agency fees if the dj is booked through one. Many also work for free. A mistake, they hope it will get them the name recognition they so crave. Perhaps, but you cannot beat free on price and at the lowest rung you're easily replaced. No more posting cool hot dj pics to your Insta. Quelle horreur. Scary future ahead indeed. It's also why most clubs go under.

The discussion keeps coming up again and again. Why are professional DJ's so expensive? Because they can, some at least. Others don't want to work that often and quote astronomical fees. Especially for Back to the Eighties parties. Yikes! And you know what, it works. Inbox empty. Maybe you think it's absurd DJ's get paid a lot of money but it's their job is to entertain hundreds of people at once.

Last time we learned how to spot a fake librarian. Leather is the answer. Today we have another puzzle. Is this lady a librarian, school teacher or something else. Like a failed gardener for instance. Just look at that dead plant to the left. All the leaves have gone. A little bit of water every now and then would have helped.

Don't think she is a librarian, the books in the background are nothing but wallpaper. She's probably no teacher either. Apart from the fact there is just one desk, which is so elitist, what teacher has to write herself a reminder on the door not to come late again.

So neither a librarian or a teacher. Nor is she a gardener. What is she then? My guess is that she works as a physical therapist, helping old people learn how to walk again with the help of a cane. Correct me if I'm wrong.
