Harry Is A Hero

Never mistake the slave for the man.

"Tossed aside because it would distract the press from writing about the bond prince Andrew and registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein share?" See how easy it is?

Blogging about some guy that should have listened to his wife was only partly in jest. All women want their husbands to be tall, successful and wealthy, so both spouses share the blame for their fiasco. When it matters, try harder and never quit.

Forever out of luck can mean many things. What if you are born in a golden cage yet nobody cares? All eyes on big bro, dude will one day ascend to grannie's throne. If dad were a commoner, he'd be retired long ago. Not if daddy is named Prince Charles and first in line. After which comes his first-born, whose single purpose in life is to entertain the masses that look up to twue royalty. Said person’s uncle excluded obviously.

What to do with your life? Easy peasy. Same thing all smart men do, [kinda] first in line or not. Open up your heart and fall in love. No ifs, no buts. Love the one you love with all that you have and accept what it takes. Easy for me to say, Dutch bloke who prizes his anonymity above anything. Almost anything that is. There's a difference between dislike and fear.

Rather odd for a self-confessed slave, but I actually hate pain. A lot. Still, avoidance is not the same as fear. In the end there's only one thing that haunts me. No, not even to fail her when she needs me most, but to let her down when she looks at me for support more than anything.  By then she’s in the eye of the storm. All it takes for the perfect storm is me by her side, zero hesitation.  Never cared about being a brilliant slave, neither do I wonder whether or not I pass the test of being a true gentleman. If I tell you I love you, it comes with the full package, including me not failing you when it matters most. [Or so I pray.]

"Stand by your man." is an old country and western song that works both ways. Not the kind of guy who's easily scared, the only thing I fear is to let her down when the moment comes. Imagine her, almost routinely, grabbing my hand. And it’s not there. Bondage is easy, you cannot escape the fireworks. But to surrender your heart and things get complicated? Digital vultures and so on? What if she needs me by her side and I chicken out? What if I let her down when it matters most? Not in that situation right now, but the whole “could have, would have, should have” thing haunt me forever.

"You love men in pain. Why? Defend yourself. The public deserves an answer!" I'd probably squeeze her hand so hard, she'd scream. Definitely not media training 101. Then again, I'm not perfect, I'm hers. All I want is to spare her the pain and grief of whatever comes next. Sadly, hardly anyone ever survives trial by vulture for which the British “press” is known.

Now imagine something similar but on a much grander scale. Boy’s mother dies haunted by commercial creeps. Older brother gets married, demoting him to nth in line. Still, he’s the same man he ever was. Like you and me, but with a prize on his head. Paparazzi gotta make a living too, come hell or high water. Boy goes to war and becomes a man. Does stupid stuff like any other male. But unlike you and me, he has no privacy and gets vilified. Tries to live up to the family creed by accepting the part of royal leftover.

Sadly for our ginger hero, his uncle, prince Andrew, is the ultimate pervert. Old guy with pervy friends, the unacceptable kind – and in high places. People get away with abuse all the time, especially if they’re famous. Not this time, despite the fact it takes many years for the truth to catch up with the queen’s second son. It finally does. [Dutch is smiling as he writes this paragraph.]

Years before, our young hero falls in love. Royal fame is a prison like no other, but our protagonist manages to escape and marry his one, true love. Good thing she loves him back, because she has no idea of the price she’ll pay for the most basic of human rights. Officially she is American. Technically she is not 100 percent Caucasian. The blood pressure of the, mostly male and middle-aged, British tabloid editors spikes once the lads realize there’s money to be made, peddling racist hate. One of the oldest stories in the world.

In the end, the joke is on them. Strong man marries strong woman. Strong men generally listen to their wives - especially when she speaks silently. Two-way street, agreed. Of course she pays attention to his words too, otherwise she wouldn't be a strong woman, now would she?

Forget about slaves serving 24/7, always agreeing with mistress because this is how we do it in “our community.” Let's turn it upside down, safeword, yes or no? Wrong you fool. Boy protects girl and slave protects mistress. No safeword may be kinda hot, but what happens when things go wrong? Try and explain how you served her then. Real submissives also protect their mistresses by speaking up when it matters. As for what real men do, take a look at Prince Harry.

Mom was literally chased to death in Paris by the British press. Years later Harry marries the woman he loves. Nobody cares she’s an American, the fact that she’s devorced doesn’t ruffle any feathers either. How the times have changed. Sadly some things never change. Megan Markle has a dark-skinned mother and a light-skinned father and apparently that’s bad. Because of that the British press is ripping her apart [for eye balls]. Enough is enough and her husband decides to put the woman he loves first and flee the circus. Not an easy choice, given Edward VIII, his great grandfather, but sometimes your only choice is between losing and losing what matters most.

Prince Harry and Megan Markle had their final official engagement recently and got the cold shoulder for their effort. Perhaps it’s time to drop the word “family” from the phrase “royal family.” While we’re at it, all of a sudden “royal” sounds kind of hollow too. Maybe the British press is right for once, referring to the British monarchy as “the firm.” Why else would the queen go horse riding in what is considered a sign of support with her second son, a person with a taste for young, helpless underage girls. The show must go on.

Harry may give up a lot of privileges by severing ties with “the first family” but what he never does is betray the woman he loves. Call it submission, love or being a real man, Harry bows out with grace, royal grace. Chapeau to you sir and all the best.
