My various posts discussing kink on TV may have tricked you into believing I'm exempted from cleaning HER dungeon with a toothbrush. Don't worry, it's more of a big picture thing, closely aligned with my rather unique #NeverNormal spider senses.
By now, you've figured out we do things differently over here in Flatland. From personal experience I know there is a small, select group of foreign dommes who prefer to look for exquisite premium slaves in Holland. In case you're wondering, don't. Eleven out of 11 dutch dommes agree: screw the tulips jaba jaba etjabara.
Those who know me, also know my penchant for emphasizing the importance of selling an idea. Presentation matters. Sadly, neither the printed press nor the moving media do us any favours when it comes to femdom. There is one exception, albeit of a different kind, the nightly news. Like most countries the Dutch state-appointed broadcaster over the years tried to show it's inclusiveness by hiring minorities to present the main nightly news bulletin.
Not that it changes anything. For the most part the nightly news continues to be presented by older white males, usually former foreign correspondents about to retire. A few years ago a small band of female presenters, Caucasian obviously, were hired for some of the minor news updates. Slowly they made their way to the main news bulletin.

Two women stood out, at least when it comes to the way they dress. Don't often watch the nightly news but even I couldn't help but notice Dionne Stax's leather skirt. When, two years after the fact, I saw Annechien Steenhuizen presenting the news in a leather dress, I couldn't help but wondering if the two women were competing. Not that I care. Still, from that day on, I've been watching the news diligently. I'm not the only one. It's why Dutch slaves are more knowledgeable than most. Pity then that the quality of the state-sanctioned nightly news is mostly sub-zero. On top of that, a few presenters in elegant leather outfits doesn't mean the Dutch state broadcaster has suddenly become femdom friendly. Don't expect an open mind from a state-sanctioned enterprise that previously hired token minority presenters.

What I like about the dress is that it is elegant, daring, different, flattering and attractive at the same time. And she did it on national television. What's not to like?
A final image from Dutch television feauring a recently launched silly Saturday game show. Nobody cares how much humiliation second tier celebrities are willing to put up with in exchange for exposure. Just ignore it, like you ignore the official news.

A propos, in case you're interested, Prison School is now available on Netflix in most countries. As for the next review of a Japanese femdom anime, for several years now I've been struggling to watch MM. It's torture.

I find it interesting that you're looking for "Femdom" representations on...the evening news. Its just something that never occurred to me. :)
