Kink Cycle: Floggers Made from Old Bike Inner Tubes

From Holland with love: Save the world, one whip at a time.

And now it's a flogger with the printed text from what was once an inner tube still visisble. (image Kink Cycle on Facebook)

When it comes to femdom news, it's clearly silly season. After yesterday's consumer advice regarding the Cellmate chastity device, today a tip if you're in the market for a new flogger.

Margo Moutarde and Shimaya Jahangiri don't consider anything waste. In their Amsterdam workshop they can recycle almost anything. Jahangiri once made a dress from old pop tabs. Before Covid-19 she visited underground kinky parties , which she loves because of the relaxed atmosphere. After seeing a hammock made from old bike inner tubes, she realized those old tubes were also the perfect material for floggers: much more environmentally friendly than synthetic leather.

A local bike repair shop supplied them with old inner tubes. It's owner even took home one of the whips to try it out together with his wife. After a good scrub with bio-soap, they cut the tubes in long strings and weave them together, no glue is used. Various items are used for the handle, sometimes even old computer cables.

At first they sold their floggers to friends and acquaintances, but recently they opened their own webshop. Their latest design is the so-called 1,5 meter whip, well-crafted for social distancing dommes, Moutarde tells while laughing.

Covid-19 dramatically increased the demand for sex toys. Most [plastic] toys break easily in order to sell you a new one. Your next toy usually comes wrapped in plastic and is delivered by car. Kink Cycle tries to deliver by bike whenever possible and your order comes in wrapped in recycled packing materials. Margo and Shimaya try to stimulate a more circular economy whenever possible, it's one reason their floggers come with a two year warranty.

Their other mission is to promote BDSM. Moutarde and Jahangiri want to show others just how much fun it is to play, experiment and make BDMS part of your life. "The other day, when I turned 30, guests were allowed to spank me with a small whip, after I read some poetry, wearing a unicorn onesie." Jahangiri says. "The whole thing was playful, felt safe and intimate. Even those who'd never tried kinky stuff before were comfortable."

What's not to love about these ambassadors for a better world, with or without kink? Now go and get yourself a flogger from them. For once, even the femdom police agrees with Dutch.

Kink Cycle is on Facebook. You can find their Circular Love webshop here.

Just gorgeous. Now go and get one!
