Blame whoever came up with the idea for letting me blog unsupervised for today's 'essential' consumer advice. My blogging frequency puts me at a disadvantage, bringing you the lastest. When I read today's story, I decided to ignore it. No more. Earlier today the Dutch government decided to impose a curfew on it's citizens. Of course there are exceptions, among the more noticable ones are walking your dog (alone). So is going to a TV studio for a live appearance on late night TV. Why? Elections are coming up in about two months. Isn't democracy wonderful?

After reading about it, Dutch banged his head against the table for a long time. Amsterdam to Berlin is only 650km (400 miles) by car or about six hours' drive. One day, or so I told myself. Too late. At the end of October the famous Berlin dungeon closed down for good. The Avalon website reads:
