Lady Sas talks to Lady Mercedes Continued
I'd crumble. Lady Mercedes. Awesome. Absolute. Always. All woman. All powerful. |
Continued from Lady Mercedes of Avalon, Berlin's Second Interview With Lady Sas.
Very much love Lady Saskia's blog, especially her interviews. It's one of a kind. Thank you ma'am. Dates do not appear near the top of posts, making dating slight more difficult, but who cares. Back to back with the recent interview with Herrin Mercedes is an older one, which is just as interesting.
Inspired by the Other World Kingdom. Let's leave it at that. Over-simplification. Avalon is, was, and always will be the unique creation of two women: Herrin Mercedes and Lady Marlon, now retired. The German language shares many similarities with my native Dutch, that is if you can clear the minefield that is words that sound similar but ain't. Zirkel and Kreis come to mind, just to name two. [1] The German language has quite a few awesome, truly unique words. Remember last time's selection for Face the Music? One of my personal favourites is Ohrwurm, a song you cannot get out of your head. Other gems include Kopfkino - mental images which imagine how events will unfold - und Langzeiterziehung. Keep that last one in mind for future reference please. Translated it means something like long term [re]-education. Don't know if you can design DNA to encompass something like that but it certainly was embedded in the DNA of Avalon from the very beginning. Why not start the day with a warm-up whipping, especially when no-one outside can hear him [yours] scream. Must be music to someone's ears.
Of course if you run a venue that famous and elegant, anything is possible. Friendship is just the tip of the iceberg. One couple spoke their marriage vows there. Not sure if they consumed the marriage later that night on site - the old fashioned way if you know what I mean. Who cares? Love is love. As long as you are together.]
One thing Herrin Mercedes vividly remembers is balance. Interpret that any way you want but to me it's an essential part of the beauty of femdom. As I write this post, music is playing in the background. The moment my eyes take in the phrase 'secret hideaway' which Avalon was, Quincy Jones' Secret Garden is on. Is Gaia poking fun at me for never visiting the place or is She smiling because what I'm typing right now helps the world to remember just how spectacular and beautiful Avalon was? Of course the Goddess Gaia smiles. Our guiding light is happy for us to finally grasp the unique nature of that special place, which will always be remembered as Avalon.
Quincy Jones - The Secret Garden
As it happens the Dude's classic track 'The Secret Garden (Sweet Seduction Suite)' is one of my all-time favourites. The 1990 song features Al B. Sure, James Ingram, El DeBarge and Barry White.

Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the fastest fighter jet of them all?
D'oh!
The one you can use right now.
Yes, both Denmark and the Netherlands are going to supply F16's to Ukraine. Pilots from the war-torn country are already in training. The sooner the better, but let's not get over-excited. Those 50-year old jets will be delivered to Ukraine around Christmas 2024. Or later. Depends on when the Netherlands takes delivery of its batch of F35 fighters, the latest in air supremacy. And if we wait that long, we're probably gonna need them. Basically we've stopped supporting Ukraine. And before long our NATO allies - say Poland or the Baltics - are gonna ask for our help as soon as Russia crosses the border. No fireman ever said: I'm gonna save my bucket of water for the fire to my left, just in case. Meanwhile they let the biggest fire to the right in at least 100 years, burn.
My name is Dutch. I have a bike and I'm Dutch. I'm even more sorry. Tomorrow is too late, let alone December 2024. All I want for Christmas? Who cares? Send those F-16 jets to Ukraine. Do it now! [3]
Notes
[1] Der Zirkel (German) can mean cirkel [circle] in Dutch but also
drawing compass. A Kreis on the other hand sounds a lot like kruis [cross]
in Dutch. Yet der Kreis is a variation on the word circle. And that's just
the beginning of how we Dutch excel at messing up the German language of
our Eastern neighbours. One thing we do have in common is the word studio.
It's both the German and Dutch word for dungeon. [2]
[2] Being
11Dutch - AKA 1+1Dutch - I'm also pretty good at making a fool of the
English language. Not very funny you say? Oops. Entschuldigung.
[3] In case you're worried, the Brits are going to invade Holland, don't. Just one word: Brexit.
