Back to School

What if?

More nostalgia, sort of.

A little one on one adult education.

Bye bye Summer. It's late August and it's back to school for the young ones in Holland. After Covid-19 it would be nice for them to have an uninterrupted year, not just studying but also hanging out with friends after school, in the afternoon, playing sports and other stuff, whether it is the school newspaper, drama club or chess club. What matters is that kids are no longer confined to their rooms as part of the fight against Covid-19. If it happens again, surely there must be better solutions.

A while back I wrote about a video of a [female] teacher caning her male student in class. Whether you're into kink or not, most people don't think corporal punishment is a good idea to motivate people to study harder. Let's not do that.

Back then my secondary school not only had two nuns [in plain clothes, sort of undercover I guess] who were vice-principals but above else put emphasis on high grades. Nothing else mattered. Then on to a proper university.

The interesting question for somebody like me, who is into femdom, is whether corporal punishment would have made a difference. We'll never know, my back to school days are over. Sadly? Of course not.

Meanwhile in Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine some teachers are opening their classroom for students while others refuse. In the classrooms of the former history lessons have been revised, 'updated' and 'corrected', 'inspired' by Putin's cronies.

Despite the usual mumbo jumbo of politicians all across Europe, the west is trying to quietly forget the war in Ukraine. Worst idea ever. You know how it goes. Give Putin a nail and he will take a finger. Any lasting success in Ukraine will result in a direct threat to Europe's border. If Putin wins, don't be surprised his next aim is the Baltics or perhaps Warsaw. While we're at it why not East-Berlin. After all it used to be part of Russia, sort of.

People living in former Eastern Europe are much more aware of just how dangerous Russia can be than we in West Europe. We should listen to them before it's to late.

Today's [totally] unrelated track is Miracle Maker by Dom Dolla and Clementine Douglas. Best played in your car. Loud!
