Power to the people not the props
A final note on lady Sas' interviews with lady Mercedes
Lady Mercedes' smile brings any man to his knees. As it should. |
Last time I wondered whether balance made Avalon's secret garden special.
Wrote about it before. How cartoon character Lisa Simpson complains Disney and Hallmark are carving up love and selling it piece by piece for profit. The Dark Side equivalent must be something like 50 Shades. These days, wherever you go, they sell at least one item made out of leather or latex. To paraphrase Herrin Mercedes: kinky is not the same as femdom. Not even a long-forgotten descendant, 11 generations apart. No ma'am, it does not. Couldn't agree more.
Her ladyship also mentions how everything has become much more technical in the studio [dungeon]. Brand X is out. Y is the way to go now. "Many forget how it's all about people, not toys." [My translation]. Amen to that. May I add, what's the point in serving a woman who's sole claim to fame is her leather wardrobe and not her personal gravity?
Charisma - it's what Herrin Mercedes calls it - and personal gravity are not the same, but they definitely point in the same direction. According to lady Mercedes a domina in the classic sense of the word should also bring class, style, well-rounded basic education and empathy to the job. Oh and being a teamplayer is essential as well, just like speaking English these days.
Just in case you didn't get why I go weak in the knees when I think of Herrin Mercedes. But there's more. If you're 80 and she's 18 and you call her a woman [yes, she is, no doubt] rather than to accept your time is up and her time has come, you basically wasted your life. Share some of that knowledge with her instead of hoping your bank account makes her want to marry you. [1] Which brings me to our final question for today:
Lady Sas:
"Is there an age limit for a classic domme like yourself?"
"No."
"It would be a shame not to share this great wealth of experience with the world. You don't get true dominance until you reach a certain age, and that's a wonderful thing."
Herrin Mercedes goes on to explain how kinksters are generally attracted to younger dommes. May I add it's most likely because of the kink, whatever that is. Slaves who are into femdom however, often are at a loss when it comes to younger dommes.
On a personal note: experience is the greatest, best and harshest teacher there is. Experience also takes time. Dutch was born circa first man on the moon, which makes it hard to talk to an experienced 18-year old pro-domme who is excited about getting her driver's licence. It's absolutely not meant to be disrespectful to her, it's just that experience is a harsh mistress. But, oh, you do learn.
Told you about the time I went to Afghanistan. Fools wanna have fun too. And how I wrote two letters. The first one was for the young woman who now has a young daughter of her own. Showed dad the picture a couple of days ago. Petite precious is approximately half the number of years of the magic calculation that makes it to eleven. Just look at her standing on the bow of that boat. Total lack of fear, looking forward, so impressive at that tender age. Even Dad said wow. Sheer power. If there's anyone who will one day rule the world, it's her. And two weeks later, as soon as she sees me again, the little one grabs my leg. She won't let go, repeating how much she missed Dutch. Trust me, I'm the lucky one here. Back to today's advice. Age doesn't say everything but age-apropriate is your best bet if you're really crave to surrender and wish to, one day, truly immerse yourself in beauty and power that is women. Oops. Just asking for a friend.
Two more things stand out from lady Sas' 2022 interview with Herrin Mercedes. "The world belongs to the brave". Vir Audax Vir Beautus Est. And find yourself a good accountant. What a woman.
In May of 2023 singer Linda Lewis died aged 72. Picked todays song because of it's title, so get over it. Mrs. Lewis herself hated Class/Style, one of many early 1980's disco songs. It was forced upon her by the record company at the time. Released in 1982, this track is from a bygone era, what you hear is real. This is Linda Lewis' actual voice, no machine to smooth it out. Auto-tune still was years away. Even though Mrs. Lewis wasn't fond of it, I hope she felt proud recording it. Just hear that impressive voice of hers, the richness of it, so warm, so full, pure passion. Like The Guardian obituary elegantly puts it: "Lewis’s vocal dexterity – her voice ranged across five octaves and drew comparisons with Minnie Riperton – did not always seem to get the material it deserved."
As I said, I choose this title because of today's topic. Herrin Mercedes. Class/Style [I've got it.] Linda Lewis.

"Such was the turnout for her funeral, that the service had to be held
outdoors. Eleonora Maltseva, a 34-year-old colonel in the Ukrainian army, a
talented footballer and a mother to Tymofiy, 14, was one of 12 soldiers
killed last week when a Russian jet bombed a five-storey apartment block in
which she had been working in the town of Orikhove, in south-eastern
Ukraine."
Talk of class, Ukranian female soldiers are fighting two enemies, where there should be only one. Women in Ukraine's armed forces decry harrassment. This is stupid. You either wanna win or you don't. Idiots. Full story in The Guardian.
[Also Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin's memorial service was held in St Petersburg today.]
Funeral of Eleonora Maltseva, a 34-year-old colonel in the Ukrainian army, and a mother to Tymofiy, 14. |
Notes
[1] Or you could pay for her education, no strings attached. Huh?
[2] Are you a fool Dutch? [4]
[3] Also, if you're 18 now. Imagine you get lucky and turn 80 in some six more decades, take it from someone inbetween. No regrets. It's just isn't worth it. Especially not the money.
[4] Yes.
