Only if she deserves it
Suddenly Dutch has developed a healthy respect for hairbrushes. |
Women can learn a lot from men. Yes, that's right. Mostly by paying attention to what is left out, a pesky little thing called consent. Who needs that anyway in our consensual non-consensual community?
Found this news paper clipping in some hidden folder on my computer. No doubt, I saved it to write about at some later time. Don't know when it was published, probably back in the 'good old days' when men were men and women knew their place'.
Let's go through some of the 'highlights'. The barber advises the hairbrush. When properly applied, it yields results. The factory owner simply says yes to domestic violence. Most women have it coming anyway. The parking lot attendant believes it's an excellent way to show them who's boss. And finally the counterman simply wonders: why not?
Four out of four men approve of domestic violence, all four are wrong. Domestic violence was wrong back then, it is wrong now and it will always be wrong. Past, present, future? Christmas must be around the corner.
I already know that domestic violence is wrong, of course it is, so what has Dutch learned today?. To be afraid of women holding their hairbrush the wrong side up, inviting me to come closer.
Escaped convincts, that's what these men look like. |
lf a Woman Needs It, Should She Be Spanked?
(Today'; -11.11;on by Herman Martin, 125 Broad St. New York 4, N.Y.)
MIGUEL MATOS, Brooklyn. counterman: "Why not? If they don't know how to behave by the time they're adults, they should be treated like children and spanked. That ought to make them grow up in a hurry. If It doesn't at first, they'll soon get the idea".
FRANK DESIDERIO, Brooklyn. barber: "Yes, when they deserve it. As a barber, I've got a lot of faith In the hairbrush. I think there are certain cases when it is advisable. When it is, there's no reason why you shouIdn't go right ahead and do it. I can't knock the idea. In my business, a man sets a a lot of store by the results he can get with a hairbrush properly applied."
TEDDY GALLEI, Brooklyn, parking lot attendant: "You bet. It leaches them who's boss. A lot of women tend to forget this is a man's world and a lot of men who stepped down as boss of a family wish they hadn't. Spanking might help get back some of the respect they lost."
WILLIAM DAVIS, Brooklyn, toy factory owner: "Yes. Most of them have it coming to them anyway. If they don't, it will remind them how well off they are. I subscribe to the theory that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
